VY Nuclear decommissioning report – PSDAR
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is accepting public comments on a report submitted by Entergy outlining its decommissioning plans for the Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant. The Post-Shutdown Decommissioning Activities Report, which includes a decommissioning cost estimate, was filed with the NRC on Dec. 19, 2014.

Background – On December 23, 2014, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received the Post-Shutdown Decommissioning Activities Report (PSDAR) and the Site-Specific Decommissioning Cost Estimate (DCE) dated December 19, 2014, for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (VY). The PSDAR, which includes the DCE, provides an overview of Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy or the licensee), planned decommissioning activities, schedule, projected costs, and environmental impacts for VY. .
