Author Discussion and Reception follows “Atomic States of America”
“Atomic States of America” screening will be followed by a discussion with special guest Kelly McMasters, a key character in this eloquent, informative and super-timely film inspired by her acclaimed book “Welcome to Shirley: A Memoir from an Atomic Town.” The New England Coalition on Nuclear Pollution (NEC), a Brattleboro-based organization that spearheads awareness and action on enforcement of federal safety laws at nuclear reactors in New England, will host a wine and cheese reception for McMasters at the former Wine Bar, 30 Main Street (now Brattleboro Cheese) just a few doors down from the Latchis Theater, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm immediately following the post-screening discussion.
